i ordered a carbon hood from fiber images after my car was a bit damaged in an accident almost two months ago. they were really cool about everything at first. the day after i ordered it they told me it shipped and that i would have it in a week or so. (they were shipping truck from cali to slc...you'd figure a couple days or so right). well this was on august 23rd. after i never received it within the one to two weeks i tried to contact them by phone, email, and fax. no response. i figured i'd wait, and in the mean time try to get ahold of them every other day. so for a month i just kept doing that (emailing, faxing, and calling them). no response. i didn't want to give up cause i wanted my damn hood! well finally today after almost two months i tried for the last time to contact them...nothing. i called the credit card company and told them to stop payment on the item....to my surprise they told me there were no charges from such a company!? ....so what the hell is going on with fiber images!? does anyone know if they're going out of business or already have...or are they just generally a really shitty company? also...i does anyone have any idea of another company to carries grade a carbon hoods for our b14?

hmm, strange...considering NPM just did a column on 'em in august. i don't know of any other companies that compare with the quality of fiber images.

yeah...i'm pretty confused about this whole ordeal...

I think you should probably change the word 'shady' in the thread title and ad a question mark. As written, the title implies that they have ripped you off. You have not been charged.

You could ask reliable?, competent?, got their act together?, customer service?, sketchy?

But saying they ARE shady is not accurate.

Mike Kojima just started a carbon fiber hood company that looks like a very good alternative to Fiber images. His hoods will be about the same price and include a fully functional nismo 400R hood scoop. The B14's should be ready in December.

hahahaha...I didn't know this was the "how to use english and english slang forum." sorry if i have offended you in anyway. I do think that fiber images is a "shady" company. As I understood it "shady" would mean such a thing as "unreliable," or even "sketchy"...as you put it. In my opinion, the word "shady" would be a very good description of this company. I guess I must be stupid.

I have 2 friends that have ordered hoods from fiber images and both have been waiting for over a month. Same deal, they would call and there would be no answer, email and the same shit. Try DGmotorsports.com they're pretty good.

thanks alot, i checked that out. they only advertise for the sentra 00-02. i emailed them to see if they do carry it for the b14 or if they are going to plan on making them for the b14. i'll let you know on their response.

Thats kind of funny. Since the definition of Libel is; publication of **false** accusations. In what way are my accusations, if they can even be called such, false? I merely expressed my story on a public forum. I expressed my freedom to speech,expression and thought. I agree that you should buy elsewhere.
