: Nx 2000 no start... Any ideas?

I've got a 1991 NX 2000. Six months ago I pulled the engine, punched it out half a millimeter, brought the compression to 10.6-1. It has Brian Crower cams, the .264 i believe. Intake exhaust, all ported and polished. Well it was an excellent machine these last six months, untill it died last sat. I've checked the compression, it is between 190-200 psi on each cylinder. I've checked, spark.. Its got spark. It's got 60 psi of pressure at the fuel filter. It has fuel on the plugs if you pull them after trying to start it. (when I try and start it, she just coughs once or twice and does nothing other than crank). I've checked the throttle position sensor resistance and changed the coolant temp fan switch after reading in my chiltion's manual that having a failure at either of those could cause a no start condition... Again to no avail. I've checked grounds.... swapped relays around... I'm completely out of ideas... Anyone have anything?

check Injector pulse and resistance.

60psi isnt stock pressure

60psi isnt stock pressure

I think 60 PSI is the pressure from the fuel pump if the fuel pressure regulator isn't letting fuel out through the return line...

So possibly a bad fuel pressure regulator

Yep. My old FPR was running 2 PSI high and my car would stumble when it was first started until the O2 sensor warmed up and was able to give feedback to the ECU.

You might be able to borrow a fuel pressure test kit from Advance Auto Parts to test it.

Possibly.. I've another one in the basement, I'll swap that out.

Problems I have had resulting in no-starts.

Bad coil
Loose coil wire
Disconnected idle hose between intake and manifold (below Throttle body)
Failed or unplugged MAF
Rotor screw came loose in distributor cap causing rotor not to spin correctly

have you replaced the starter? Sounds to me like that would be the first thing I'd check if my car didn't start. Try starting it from a roll, pop start it and if it WORKS, you've got a dead starter my friend. Good luck man.
