My 91 SER has a problem when cruising at highway speed and not accelerating this rattling kind of noise is emmited from the shifter. applying even the slightest preasure to the left quiets it. It also shifts very notchy and sometimes I have a hard time working it into first/second unless the clutch pedal is completely on the floor. I am thinking I will try and change the tranny fluid, will this help? Is the rattling in 5th a sign of oncoming pop-out. I sure hope not but does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the shifter bushings? Please Help. TIA
