I put sprint springs on my 98 200sx. When I turn the wheel a lot, when I make a 90 degree turn or a u-turn, most of the time there is a clunk. When I turn left and this clunk happens, the car will then pull to the left. Same if I turn right. When I say pull, I mean it shoots that way when I let go of the wheel. Everything appears to be installed correctlly and I cant figure it out. Can anybody give any advice?

The clunk is probably caused because one of the springs is not seated correctly. It's probably binding on the perch and allowing a bit of movement--thus the clunk. Jack the car up and get the wheel of the ground. Try grabbing the spring and see if you can turn it easily. If so, it's not seated correctly. If this doesn't prove to help, I would guess it's the strut bearing which is the piece of plastic that mounted on the top of the front struts. They are cheap to purchase.

In terms of it pulling. My guess is that you need an alignment. Although, most people say that unless you mess with the tie rod, you won't need it. Not that Maxima's are the same, but when I dropped that it pulled left real bad. Had an aligment and all was good:) Maybe take the car in to a place that will check it for free. Ask to see the printout and compare it to SE-R.NET and then make a decision if it's worth it.

I can turn the spring with the wheel off the ground, so it must not be seated correctly. This is my first time doing a spring install, i have done coilovers before, but not springs. How do I get it to seat correctly? Is it the nut on the top of the strut that is not tight enough? That was my thought, but with everything attached, and the wheel on the ground, I couldn't get it any tighter.

Make sure you have the spring installed right---flat side of the srping should be up. The make sure that the end portion of the spring has fit inside of that lip on the strut perch. Finally make sure the arrow that's stamped on the spring is pointing towards the outside of the car---not in towards the engine.

Good luck!
