Just dropped my motor in and it is not starting. Any ideas? First time trying to start up motor, the engine started, but the powersteering line was leaking, so I turned the ignition off. Now the car won't start. Engine is turing over, but not starting? Any help, please. I've been cold turkey with my ride for over a year now.

If it smell like gas chances are you fuel injectors are leaking I just finished my swap a couple days ago and had the same problem but I was able to adventually make it start even with the bad
small o-ring on one injector but it didn't want to idle because of the excess fuel being dumped, check you oil level if it rasies it most likely do to gas mixing with the oil. Pull you fuel pump fuse and try starting it, if it wants to start its probably your fuel injector and was just flooded.

Thanks for the info, but I figured it out. I had very little gas. I put 2 gallons and now it starts, but another problem has popped up. There is smoke coming from my turbo! HELP ANYONE?

The smoke coming off of your turbo on initial startup is normal. If you just installed the engine and it hasn't been run before (or in a while), the oil from your hands, gloves, etc will adhere to the exhaust manifold and turbo. As it initially warms up, it will begin to burn off the oil and smoke. It will go away after 10-30 minutes of running.

Thanks for all the replies. Its hard for me to keep checking up on the forum because I work two jobs. I have one last problem though, my idle keeps jumping anywhere from 3000 to 1500 rpm while car is idling? Again any help will be greatly appriated.

your fuel injection system isnt used to the different system yet. It has to relearn the curves. It'll take a little bit of rough idling, but it'll clear up once the system learns the pattern.

thanks again for the help, but a big problem has developed. I have a manual tranny, but when I put it in gear car is going nowhere fast. Not moving at all. Please help!!!!
