i'm putting this in the main forum cause i need help fast.. i want to go to an autocross tomorrow at 9am and my car is still apart.

Ok, the rear sway Progress L bracket and U brackets are so small that when i slip the bolt in i can't get a wrench on it to tighten down!!! what the heck?

i am especially annoyed because after busting loose the 100ftlb radius arm 22mm bolt below the hub, i can't retighten it with the Progress bracket on the stock bolt... can't get a socket on it, can't get an adj wrench on it.. arg.. i'm so annoyed.. are they assuming i should be able to tighen it by cranking on only 1 side.. no way, it spins..

please advise quickly.. thanks..

I am stuck at the same part you are, but may have found a way out. I work at an auot parts store, so i matched up the length of the bolt with one that is just a tiny bit thinner, but a 18mm head. the socket fits easily. Will be tryin this out tomarrow. The bolts are grade 8 so they will be plenty strong. Tf you go to advanced auto parts the numer is 99127080. Ufortunatly we were out so i had to go 10mm longer (99127090). Just put some washers at either end and it should work in theory. Will be trying it tomarrow afternoon after i get out of work at 5:30.

turns out i was using an impact 22 mm socket from home depot because that was all i could get.. so it's kind of a fat socket. i just went to sears and bought a somewhat thinner 22mm socket which i'll try tomorrow.. by your response i'm guessing this still won't work because i bet you tried the thinnest socket you could find..


F Progress... I'm way pissed at them right for the damn L bracket engineering..

i'll either have to dremel those L bracket supports out or fit up another radius arm bolt like you did.. thanks for that idea DA91NX.
