I have a 92 se-r with CAI/H/E/Pullies and original clutch (can't chirp). Stock timing at the time.
Beat gs-r stock and two with exhausts and CAIs. With mods they can definitely put up a fight with a modded se-r and beat a stocker. With advanced timing I would eat them all for sure, even with a old clutch. :D No LSD. By second you should have a car length and then they should start catching up. I have two friends with GS-Rs.

I got Smoothdaddyfig his motor. It is a direct swap no problems at all. The only thing is that it is a JDM motor and it has no EGR stuff.

I have a SE-R with full bolt-ons and I wax GS-R's

[B]Where did u get your motor and how much did it cost
From an Import Superstore in Miami. I paid $500 for a MINT JDM

What the difference?
Alot of people have different views on USDM vs. JDM. The JDM was a highport though. My orginal engine was a low-port. High port kicks ass!!!

does it pass ca smog?
Not on my set-up. No emissions here.

Was the swap easy or hard how much would it cost?
Its simple if you have all the right tools and time. Or just pay $500 to put it in.

i raced a gs-r w/ i/h/e and a chipped ecu. i got waxed. i was stock w/ a k&n drop-in. he pulled a *little* in first and then caught 2nd for about 15 feet and it was over............i went home:(
it's all good though. now i have a JWT POP 19*timing and a 92 intake cam. i should be faster than a stock gs-r now and kill an Si with i/h/e.

GSR's are like our EXACT rival (I think).

but they didn't give me a Problem once i did the Intake cam and G20 ECU.

Killed a couple, even got one on Video:)
Even w/ 1 on the Freeway throughout 4th gear.

Even with another one(with supposed Port &Polished head) who was like: what you got in there?
(also got this from an RSX-S)
Smoked another one at the street races (the one on video)
this one was weird cause i kill'd him by a car and on the next run he beat me but, by a fender:D

Really comes down to driver.

I heard somewhere that we weigh less than a Type-R?
can someone clarify?

Don't feel bad, i was out 1 night , w/out the bottle like usual,
and a Black civic EK coupe lowered with hubcaps (yes hubcaps),
kill'd me twice, and laughing at me. Found out later it has a Type-R in it. DAMN, i wish i had the bottle out. lol.

I'd like to see a GSR w/ cams in action though.
sorry for the triple post guys.

the specs I found say the '97 type R weighs 2600lbs even, that's 17 lbs less than mine (99 SE-L)

the GS-R weighs 2667lbs

It's a pretty good match-up. Although it's hard to overcome a 30 horse advantage when stock, add in a few well placed bolt-ons and the gap narrows significantly. Before I got my S4's in, it was a toss-up between my B14 & a well modded GS-R (AEM intake, DC header/exhaust, FPR, clutch, & MSD) that this local guy has. We got into it, and I got about one and a half cars in front, but could not pull away at all. We've raced 3 times & he's won once by about a fender, while my 2 wins were about the same as described above. I've been even with a type-r once. Si's are no challenge to me unless heavily modified. I want to see a Type-R now with my S4's in.

About time to hit the track one last time before it closes for the year. Times and pics are coming soon.

When I was non-turbo I raced my friends 00 or 01 Interga GS-R he had CAI, Exhaust, Headers, Pulleys, Light Head work. I had the original USDM stock SR20DE with PR CAI, 17degree timing. The race went he got me off the line, I pulled him at the end of 1st, shifted to 2nd got 3/4 a car on him maintanied that tell the shift to 3rd and then he pulled me and passed me at 68mph or so mph and that was it he walked on me same results every time. Not to bad for a almost stock SR20DE I also have heavy ass
17-7.5 inch MOMO GT2 and GC coil overs. I like the Integra GSR because it sounds and looks good and has a good top end.

The Acura Integra GSR is a car I would like to own.

I found some info that says a 98 gsr weighs 2665, a b13 ser weighs 2426, nx weighs 2472, and a 96 200sx ser at 2593. So going by that list the GSR is the heaviest.

I toyed with what I think was an LS, it didn't have any badging so I don't know for sure. but a 30 mph roll on, I'm in second he's in first, and I kept with him till he shifted and I didn't, then I pulled. He had intake.

but from what I'm hearing here, maybe it was a GS-R?
