Let's assume you mean under competition conditions and just forgot to mention that, OK?

My friends GS-R has intake/header/exhaust. I have all that plus ECU and pullies. I usually beat him in the 1/4. On track, he walks away from me like I'm anchored to the ground, especially above 100 mph. The SE-R is not as aerodynamic as the GS-R, and it shows at those speeds.

I think it boils down to who is the better drag racer. All else being equal.

are you referring to a g2(b17a1) or g3(b18c1) gs-r???

I've owned both at the same time ('00 GS-R & '91 SE-R).

Both were stock down to the air filter.

The only things the SE-R did better was: get out of corners quicker thanks to the LSD and better low end torque, and the Sentra had better ergonomics.

Everything else, the integra did a bit better. It was definitely faster on the top end. You might be able to eek out a car length on a launch but you would lose it to the GS-R by 70 mph.

And of course, the teg handled better steady state despite craaaappppy tires. Transitional behavior was a bit better in the Sentra due to its tail happiness but add a bigger rear sway bar to the GS-R and that advantage goes away forever.

My $.02

w/ both cars having i/H/E the se-r will win - i have done this both on track and street (drags) a looong time ago...94-95'

I actually believe in depends on what year GS-R it is.
94-95(OBD1) respond really well to mods, while the newer models dont seem to respond as well.
also stock they come with really crappy tires( i should know), we easily get a car or two off the line, we can hold them off until 3rd gear, in which the GS-R really starts to pull our cars...

if the race is an 1/8 mile, we win
if the race is 1/4 mile, it can go either way
highway race, high speeds... we lose

maybe the EGG stands a better chance if it's coef. of drag is significantly less... our cars are aerodynamic bricks!!! :D

ive raced a few at the 1/4 mile track. its a toss up, full bolt on gsr's seem to run between 14.8 - 15.2 on street tires, i usually run about 15.0. They are coming hard at the traps though. The higher the gear the worse off we are, they have less drag and also can stay in vtec longer. So from stoplight to stoplight you can get them with a good launch.

when i was NA with intake, header, pullies, i took this one fool's 95 GSR with intake, header, exhaust, aftermarket clutch out by like two car lengths... he was a really bad driver... i had him about four car lengths at the start and he crepted up slowly in the higher gears...

on a side note... i just loved racing GSR's when i was NA... they thought they were so high and mighty with their 1.8L VTEC motors... i love seeing their faces when a little ol' sentra whooped them... and you guys should of seen all the faces of the folks at the street ra... i mean raceway... :D
