: Opinion on all balck classic
300se-r 10-07-2002, 10:34 AM I plan on doing this but want some input first. I wanted to do an all black classic. Black car, black rims, completly black interior, with either black leather seats or just black fabric. Even a exhaust tip painted black. My father will do the interior for free. Thats pretty much why i came up with this. Please give some input.
se-r sam 10-07-2002, 12:07 PM Go for it. I'd leave the interior alone though. Black everything makes for a hot car in the summer.

well if its all black then its gonna be tinted ;)
chriscar 10-07-2002, 12:58 PM If you want to go all black, you need to paint the brake calipers black, and get the valve cover crinkle coated black.
Chris
93BlackBird 10-07-2002, 02:57 PM I think it would look tight has hell, but then again I am biased :D
SE-Rican 10-07-2002, 04:17 PM Black on Black looks very cool IMHO. Fast91ser on the forum is rolling black on black. PM him I am sure he will send you some cool pics of his car.
Buckwilly 10-07-2002, 04:56 PM I would do it all black but the calipers and the se-r emblem. THose I would do in red and some of the interior. All black is still gonna be hot in the summer regardless of tinted windows.
Serban 10-07-2002, 05:11 PM YO YO...my car is all black, right now my wheels have a nice polished lip, but a while ago I was rolling on all black B14 wheels. I dig it. My door panels are black too. I dont have tint though, and summers are killing me :(
300se-r 10-07-2002, 07:31 PM Fast91se-r, I have noticed the picture of your car. that is sort of what i am going for. Have you done anything to the interior if so please post.

I used plastic paint for the pillars, domelight & rearview. It holds up well and looks stock, not cheap. (And I have high OEM standards)
I had a headliner guy do my headliner and visors in black.
It is much improved over the grey headliner.
The only thing you may not get black is the plastic on the outsides of the visor. If it were painted it would definately chip. Dyed? I dunno.
300se-r 10-07-2002, 09:12 PM My dad is going to die them and put in the headliner. Dieing makes it look like it came that way and it last.

Aside from the plastic, you should see my visors. OEM all the way. And the guy did it for $80 with the headliner.
I was *very* impressed. (i.e. I dont have any vinyl or cheap ass anything in my interior)
Not to mention, on old visors, the fabric starts to seperate from the cardboard/pressboard insert and wrinkle up. Dont you think dying may further weaken what little elastcity the fabric has left?
coach 10-08-2002, 12:11 AM What do you use to die the plastic parts? I have a grey NX console that I want black, but I don't want to paint it.
Brent
300se-r 10-08-2002, 12:36 AM llaprad1 sorry to confuse you but, i am not dying the fabric, i'll just replace it with black fabric. I am only dying the plastic pieces. COACH- I will have to ask my dad tomorrow what he uses, so check back tomorrow and I will have the answer. It really looks nice when it is dyed.
94sentraSER 10-13-2002, 03:44 PM ouch an all black car? mine is super black and yeppers it gets hot as ***** in the summer, i cant almost grill on the hood of it. It would look sweet kinda like a stealth fighter or some shit .
