Since I don't have a wiring diagram, I need to know which 3 plugs these are. It is the DE harness so my first guess is something emissions related. They are located at the end of the injector harness. Thanks for your help ..

Sorry for the clarity..I now know why they give these digi cams away at electronics shows. :p

Off the injector harness, eh? I dont remeber...damn
The only thing on that side of the motor i didnt use was the EGR connector i believe...
Cause if im corect what comes off of the injector harness was the knock sencor also, but not sure.
Ill go look later on today at my car.

I might be wrong, but I wanna say that you've got the harness backwards and that two of those go onto the AIV, and one down to the knock sensor... See if thats where they go, on the passenger side of the car...
Again could be wrong...

nah, knock sensor uses a black connector with a clip on it holding it together.

2 out of the 3 are for EGR and AIV. I don't know what the 3rd is for. Don't you have an FSM? They're pretty useful when doing swaps. If not, I can take a look at the 2 unconnected harnesses in my engine bay and explain what they look like to you.

Haha, well I have a Haynes. It is helpful to an extent. I just haven't gotten around to dropping the $ for the factory manual yet.

I appreciate the help..lemme know what you find.

If I remember correctly when I did the DE swap into my XE that the Gray round redish orange on the inside plug goes to no where mine was just hanging there taped by the tape Nissan uses to tape stuff together it came stock like that. I think that other one next to it i goes down under all that hoses and shit you have to look real hard to find it either that it was taped to the other one as well, the 3rd one in the bottom left I have no idea I can take a look for you and get back to you later today.

my car has the stock motor in it, never been touched, and it's got 1 extra connector right where you have it that goes to nothing. There is also 1 connector by the cooling system resivoir that goes to nothing. Always been kinda curious about those...

the 2 gray ones are coming off the harness with the fuel injector plugs and the black one is from a section of the harness that is below the manifold. the knock sensor appears to be coming off a diff piece of harness on the head below the intake manifold.
not ahving the wiring diagram really blows...

also...on those extra plus yall mentioned...what color wires are going to them?

That's either for the EGR temp sensor (CA only) or the automatic cars.

Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram scanned in or one they could provide me with? I think that would help the most..

thanks

I'm gettin ready to head to the shop now. Call me later at 940-243-2900 and I'll look them up. I have a couple FSM's up there.

This is easy the one in the first picture in your hand is the EGT sensor and the other that comes off the fuel injector harness with the EGT sensor is the AIV solenoid and the other one coming from down below appear to be the EGR solenoid (black) I doubt that you could have stretch the knock sensor that far.

oblong connect = EGT sensor

grey square connect = AIV solinoid

black square connect = EGR solinoid

so is it safe to assume that those can be left alone since the engine is not equipped with the EGR hardware?
