So I am looking at My NA N1, and I see this tube inside of it. It goes about 1/2 the leangth of the preforated section and its somewhat smaller then the rest of the interior. My guess it that its there for sound control. Looks to me like it would cause some turbulance. What do you guys think? Its only tack welded to the pref. tube at one end. Should I remove it?

I'd take it out, but thats me.:D I "think" it's to help with the flow if you use the silencer. I may be wrong though.

Thanks for the response. What is most likely to happen is: I'll put my new system on and see how it sounds. If its not loud enough, that tube is comming out. :D. Really though, that thing has to cause some turbulence. Those that have seen them will know what I am talking about. I want everything to be straight through, with the excpetion of the cat.

I'm sure it disrupts the exhaust gas flow. Let us know how it works.:)
