My frined has a 2002 toyota celica GT and I have a 1997 200sx SE-R both are 5-speeds. Now we were not street racing just accelerating "briskly" from a red light to about 45 mph. We both have the same modds, open air box. He has 3 12"s an amp and a bicycle in his car. I have nothing and a quarter tank of gas. The only thing that I can think of that is making my car slower is the heavy a$$ 17" wheels I have. They have to weight about 20-25 lbs. a peice without tires. Is that the problem? Sorry for the long post.
Thanks

All you can do is switch back for alittle while and see. If you still have your stock wheels. That is pretty heavy for a 17 though.

No, the GTS makes 180 Hp and the GT makes 140. He raced a GT, they only have 126 lb/ft of torque compared to the SRs 132 lb/ft. The Celica does have a final ratio of 4.312 compared to your cars 4.18.

Try the 15's again. You should pick up a tenth or two. ;)

Celica GT's are slow. Mid 16's in the quarter at best.

There was a GTS at the track in Union Hill one night that was pretty damn slow as well. Maybe just driver error.

I have been looking for stock 95-99 200sx se-r rims, if yours are the 5 spoke design would you be willing to sell them or trade for the B13 14 inchers???

If you would sell them how much, also if you only really need two for racing hoe much for the other two...please hit me up with a price with or without tires, it doesn't matter.

Thanks and sorry for the spam

I also sent you the same message in your PM box
