Sup, If you own a CF hood post a pic. I would like to see what the classics look like. I've only seen Brian Chang's. I would like to see others as well...anyone with a white car have a CF Hod?

I photoshopped a pic of my car with a CF hood. I will look to see if I still have it...if not, i'll make a new one :)

good idea for a group buy!! carbon fiber hoods!!!

There is a group buy going for them. www.nissanforum.com under cosmetic/external forum. A couple guys are custom making them with the nismo400r hood as a prototype, it is an inverted scoop, carbon fiber hood.

I think Mike K. is donig the development on that hood. I don't think the 400r Hood will look right on stock body. I like fiber images OEM style hood as well. but its so damn expensive!

I think the 400r hood would look great on a stock body with maybe a xenon or stillen front bumper cover. Maybe some Tsuru lights and stuff. I think I am going to get in on that deal.

Dennis, I actually have pic of a piece of CF...and I took it and made a big piece of CF, and just pasted it into the hood. Then made it a little transparent, just so it has some shine to it. :)

I didnt know that Brian Chang had a CF hood. Where exactly did u see pics of his car with the hood? Just curious, are carbon fiber hoods actually stronger than stock ones? Knock on wood, but if you get in a head on collision, would it protect you more?

Carbon fiber is stronger then OEM bumpers. www.fiberimages.com has a few cool videos to watch them demonstrate it. but in a heavy colision, i heard. that carbon fiber won't crumple. you risk the hood actually going though the windshild. I don't know if this is myth or true so don't hold me to it. but its scary to think about.

Well, more durable...I've seen videos of Fiberimages hoods being run over by a car, a fat guy jumpin on it, and dropping a wheel on it, and nothing.
