Welcome! you've definitely come to the best froum on the web, and there are plenty of people here who can help ya. as far as teh engine swap goes, that all depends on your mechanical prowess and if you have the right tools. swappin' a sr20 ain't as easy as swappin' honda engines, but it can be done. if you decide to go w/ a shop, i'd be darn sure they have swapped sr20's **. with regards to the car parts, have you tried Car-part.com (http://car-part.com/)?
adam - dude, all the cool people are movin' to the hampton roads area. ;)

I leave in Hampton. If you want to talk about doing the swap that is cool. What stiletto said about whether to try it yourself of pay to have it done? Hit me with a PM I have some ideas for the swap if you want. Welcome to the Peninsula.

Thanks for all the advice. I have done many engine swaps in the past but almost all were rwd carburated cars, big block v-8's and such. I know this is a different beast all together. I have just heard some horror stories about lining the tranny back up being a pain the rear. I am in the military so if i do it myself i will take it to a local hobby shop (all the tools and advice, good or bad, you would need). Carparts seemed a little high but i do appreciate it. I am posting on for sale/wtb forum looking for the parts that someone might have stashed away in their cubby holes.

The principal is all the same that is what matters. Just pay attention to what you did when you pulled it apart and then carefully reverse order. People complain about the mounts being a pain. I have yet to hear about someone NOT getting it back together. It just that is probably the harder thing to get lined up. I had three local forum members who really helped me out with my swap. Thanks again Guys. We did a VE conversion in 2.5 days and had the engine in in one night. I spent the rest of the time doing the conversion stuff. I wouldn't sweat it. You can always beg/call me and several others for help.
