This only occurs if your driving along at about 3k. You stomp the gas and the motor hesistates(stutters) for a moment then runs fine. Any suggestions? My vacuum also reads between 17-18. Is the norm 20 unless you have cams?

I was told the o2 sensor can cause this if it's old or shot. My car does this also and I know for sure the o2 is shot or dying.my vacuum is 20. what exhaust pipe size do you have? also plug gaps.

May not be the issue here, but when i retarded my timing my engine did the same thing. Just driving along, stop on the gas and bbooooog. Very anoying, and i think it decreased my gas milage.

Check for a slight boost leak. Check all your hoses and couplers.

Have checked all the hoses and even replaced some. Took the intercooler off and pipe, put it back on to make sure it was on properly. Checked the gap in the plugs they were 29-30. Exhaust is a 2.5 Dp into a 2.5 cat. Rear section is only 2.25. Thinking that might be the problem. The cat is definitely going to have to go, only reason I had it put on is b/c the muffler shop would not flange my exhaust after the swap b/c there was no cat at all. Time for a test pipe and I know bigger rear section as well.

Did you fix the problem??

Mine Add The Same Problem, You Should Check The Vaccuum Hosses Sometimes If They Really Old They Tend To crack So You Might Have One Thats Cracked And Is Leaking, You Might Not Even Know It. Replaced Mine And Seemed To Solve Problem.:(

What ECU are you running?

JWT ECU... Dont remember having this problem with the JDM 02 sensor. Starting having problems after I switched to the US 02 sensor. Which one is suppose to work best?

Does it hesitate from the transistion from vacuum to boost at zero? Mine did this as well, but this was on a 9.5:1 compression T25 turboed DE. Ben Moses' car which is a true DET running on a JWT ECU didn't have that hesitation.

Yup from vacuum to boost in any gear just straight stomping on the gas hesistates. Sandman and I redid the timing and idle. We have both came to the conclusion that it might be the ignition. Thats why I had you send me the DE plug wires. He even said that he had trouble with his DET coil and used the DE. Idle is better now that we adjusted it, but that hesitation is annoying as hell.
