ok guys ive got a 98 200sx 1.6 , the guys at my local shop are gong to sell me a nissan 2.4 out of a 99 altama , they replaced the motor and have this one and are giving me a heck of a deal on it . the downside the motor needs some gaskets replaced which means a full teardown ill probably leave it pretty stock on the inside and dress it up a bit on the outside. will it fit? should i spend the money to even try? and will the 321 headers i have possibly line up?

Isn't that the same KA24 that the 240SX comes with...?

I'm pretty sure that it'll fit, as SR20s fit in 240s, well at least in a RWD setup. But to be honest, I'm not sure.

after a bit of searching it seems no one has done this or no one has posted results,if your getting this motor because its cheap then im guessing your low budget and probably not ready to do somthing others may have thought of but havent had the funds to follow thru. plus if the motor needs a rebuild its esentially no good,why even mess with it? how cheap is cheap? because sr20de's arent that expensive and a way better choice,in my oppinion. doa lil reaserch,your going to need more than a good deal on a motor to pull this off....

i would get the motor for $100 i know the guys at the shop right next to were i work theres also a tuner shop directly behind the other side of our warehouse . all the motor needs is two gaskets but i figured if im in there might as well do it all right the first time . but if no one know s if itll work i may just go another route with it . shed be nasty with a boosted 2.4 though!

I dont know who advise U whit the KA engine ...BUT for sure I can tell you this SR engine have the R for racing and lattely Ive seen a N14 SR engine whit 700hp, I know KA engine its bigger and torquy BUT SR are WAY much better

SR20 is a way better engine dont even bother with the KA it was originally a truck motor and although it can make power the SR is a better engine.
