I just got my cam gears, and before i install them, i need to clarify something.
Ive got my engine set at TDC, both stock gears are lined up with the coloured links on the timing chain. Now after reading the distructions that JWT sent with them, im a little confused.
Now since my DE is turbo'd, i need to advance and retards each cam to reduce the overlap. Firstly, can anyone tell me which way round it is, which cam is advance and which is retarded.
Next, the distructions say to use position 1. So is the following statement correct?
"Position cam so that dowel is inserted into hole numbered 1, then line up tooth also marked 1 with the coloured link on the timing chain."
So basically, which ever hole you use, use the corresponding tooth to line up with the timing mark on the chain?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
