HELP PLEASE.

I HAVE A 2001 SENTRA SE 2.0L (SR20DE). I PUT ON A CAI TODAY AND TO DO THAT I HAD TO TAKE MY AIR BOX OUT FROM UNDER MY FENDER WELL AND DISCARD IT. I DISCONNECTED THE NEG. LEAD TO MY BATT. AND WENT TO WORK. I HAD TO UNPLUG THE SENSOR THAT IS ON THE TUBE THAT IS ON TOP OF MY AIR BOX. I KNOW IT ISNT THE MAF, BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT SENSOR IT IS. WHEN I GOT THE JOB DONE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I FORGOT TO HOOK THE SENSOR BACK UP, WELL I HOOKED IT UP AND STILL A LIGHT IS ON, I DISCONNECTED THE BATT, AND STILL A LIGHT. CAN ANYONE HELP WITH MY PROBLEM?

leave it hooked up and unhook the bat again and leave it setting for about a half hour or more and this should reset the brain and just hook the bat tem up again and try it out

well i tried leaving the batt. disconected for an hour, still did not work, so i went out and bought a engine code tester. it came up with the air temp sensor. so i cleared the code and that did the trick.

there is an easier way to do it. all you had to do set the screw on your ECU to the self-diagnostic mode. hold it there for a sec. and turn the screw back. and your done.
