Hey, I have an 01 Mazda Protégé MP3 that I will turboing with a modified oem Mazdaspeed kit including a reclocked SR20 T25 instead of the GT2554RLS as the turbo; so I thought this would be the best place to ask my questions.
I have all all of the parts ready but im unsure as what to run for my oil feel line to get me the proper oil pressure for the turbo.
From what I have read the SR20 gets ~ 25psi for oil pressure at idle. The FS-DE( 2.0L 4 cyl) gets around 20ish but I have gotten no definite answer as ive even heard some people getting around 10psi.
I already have a 4AN feed line for the turbo with a banjo type fitting for the turbo (http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-FTG-054&Category_Code=ATP-FTG2)
but will be replacing it with (http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-FTG-029&Category_Code=ATP-OIL1 ) for more room as its a bottom mount set up.
I also purchased a .065 restrictor to put in line if I need to (http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-OIL-022&Category_Code=ATP-OIL1). I can throw in the restrictor at the other end of the line or run without it if needed.
Should i run the restrictor or will that starve the turbo? Any help is appreciated thanks!
