Buy a JWT ECU or a G20 ECU.

Will a G20 ECU work in my 97 200sx ser, and what help would that do, higher rev limiter, or higher top speed,

a G20 ecu will raise ur rev limiter and remove ur speed limiter. One of the best mods u can do for a low port if u ask me.. almost did it to my 200sx before selling it. that 109mph stock speed limiter was a nuissance :o

Jet ECU will give you no power increase for your $$$. This info comes straight from the dyno.

G20 ECU will give you the higher redline & uncork that governor for you. I would go this way for two reasons over a JWT ECU. One is it's cheaper and will give you damn near all the benefits of an ECU upgrade for a lot less $$$. Two, if you get the JWT ECU & upgrade to cams, larger throttle body, etc..., each reprogram will cost you $100 plus shipping. You can have your inexpensive G20 ECU programmed one time for these future upgrades when ready for a little less over the long run. Not knocking the JWT ECU, because I do have one, but if I had known about the G20 upgrade, I might have went in that direction myself. Just passing on some info to help informed decision making.

I never heard anyone even using a JET for our cars.

I loved the G20 ecu whenI had one. So economical. If you have a car with bolt-ons, its mostly for high end right? (usually) G20 ecu just uncorks all that potential.

Again JWT is better, but might be more $$$ than you want to spend. For me personally; to enhance $500 spent on used i/h/e, $100 seemed more reasonable.

V Force is not an ECU, its a device that is wired into your throttle body and MAF to allow more, I should say maxium air flow through the throttle body. Advantagious perhaps for those of us with Cold Air induction. I purchased one since the company I worked for installed on on a modded Civic Si and the guy called us the next day and had nothing but raves about it on his car. At a highly discounted price I figured why not. It looks bad ass in the car too with an LED display of the Gas Pedal. Not why I bought it. I could really care less, but it does attract attention.

As far as gains I think I am the only one with an SE-R to have one, never dynoed but it has an on off switch, it would be really easy to dyno. Actually now that I think of it. this would probably be difficult to dyno just like its hard to simulate the Cold Air effect for a CAI it would probably be the same for this. Oh well. As far as my butt dyno I think it makes a differecne honestly, esp at higher speeds when air is moving faster through the CAI. Nothing really critical or dramatic power wise I don't think.
