if anyone has any info on this subject please help. i am planning on buying the UR 4piece pulley set for my sr20 but i heard that it is not recomended for a daily driven car due to the fact that the ur pulleys wont turn the water pump as fast as it should be trurning. so if anyone knows anything on this help.

it's actully the stock water pump pulley that causes it. the UR pulley will actually help. the stock water pump sucks after 6k rpm.

I never heard that one yet. A lot of people on here are running pullies, including myself, and I've never had any problems.

The diameter of the water pump pully is larger than stock, but its lighter, and the crank one is smaller...so I'm guessing that makes up for it.

And on another note, I dont think the 4 set is worth it. People usually just buy the water pump and crank pullies, those are the 2 that make the most difference. The other 2 give you another 1hp I believe...not worth the extra $$.

so then all i should purchase is two instead of the four

don't even bother buying all 4. do you wanna pay $150-200 for 1hp? all you need is the crank and water pump pulley and belts. install is not that hard.

a larger accessory pulley would underdrive the pump ever further. Smaller crank pulley=underdrive, larger accessory pulley=underdrive. Like on a bicycle, smaller gears on the front make it easier, while you go to a larger gear in the rear to make it easier

I have the 4 pulley set, but you couldn't beat the price I paid unless you owned UR.:D Most people do only get the 2 piece and only the 4 for looks. Install is easy and it makes a good difference in the feel of the pedal.

A good thing about the two piece set over the 4 piece is that you can get a nice stereo system and not worry about the alt putting out enough current... plus the power steering doesnt do much when the cars is moving

I dont have problems at all I only have the 4 set because someone gave them to me. I took about forever to put them all on though. I did them one at a time over about 2 years.

When I get a chance I will check the voltage on my car now and see what it is. It stayed around 14.3 before.

My buddy (NXCrazy) has the two pulley set and they are really nice. I haven't notices and problems with them at all and he daily drives it.

Just put two on my 92. I drove them on my 200 before this. No problems, except the ac was weaker in my 200.

Nice power gains, almost hard to appreciate, cause it's so subtle.

One thing I noticed was the hole in the water pump pulley was too small to fit onto the nub on the wp of my b13. I had to sand it out a bit to get a proper fit.

SE-Rican had he same problem with his. Mine on the other hand went on with no problem.

Maybe the red pullies are the ones with the bad fitment probems. are yours red? :D

Mine are black and I also had to sand the water pump pulley down to get it to fit. AaroNX how was the 4 pulley set? I noticed better throttle response all around on mine, with a little better top end.

I could actually tell a big difference just in the fell of the gas pedal. There is alot less pressure on it than before. Also the motor revs quicker, which made me hit redline (7950) 5 times at the track the other night. I wasn't use to it. Pulls good though and I gained almost 2 tenths in the 1/8th.

Mine are black, maybe it's ones made in a certain productin run.

Mine have all the timing marks too. It made it so much easier to set the timing. The marks on the stock pulley were so faint.
