So im new to having an sr20 and i need help figuring things out. i have a 95 s14 which im trying to put an autometer water temp gauge in because stock gauge stays at the hot, guy i bought it from said thats where it normally operates but i dont trust it. I have the autometer wired into the turbo time for power and ground, and the sender tapped in to a water neck adapter like this one http://www.frsport.com/Stance-ST7-Water-Neck-Adapter-Nissan-SR20DET_p_12507.html The problem is that im not getting a reading with the gauge so ive been checking for ground, took teflon tape off it didnt work, so i added a ground wire to the sendor an all it did was peg the gauge out to 250. So thats the first problem. Next i had the car run for awhile to heat up to c if it was waiting for the thermostat to open, nothing changed. I checked the hoses then, the one from the head was very hot, and the one going to the thermostat was ice cold?? dont know whats going on, i took waterpump off to see if fins were worn off and check the shaft, both were perfect. then flushed the radiator and hoses and watched water come out both inlet and outlet of the pump housing. So im clueless to whats going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! :biggthump:biggthump
