well sorry for all the sudden topics from me myself and i buttttt....... i dont start many so anywho.

last week i noticed a weird noise coming from my engine from the drivers side. once my cars been heated up and run for a while it kinda sounds like lifter noise. but after i looked into it further i found out it was coming from the trans. i took it t the dealer and asked my buddy one of the techs i used to work with what he thought it was if he had any idea. he told me it sounds like my t/o bearing is flapping around not the usual grrrrr growl noise when you depress the clutch but as if it has freeplay on the fork. he said he's seen it before.

has anyone else had this? i am thinking maybe i should try some better trans fluid first see if it helps and also check the level. the t/o bearing is new and the trans has some 55-60 k on it from my buddy whom i got it from. everything is new along with it when i did my trans swap.

ohh and im positive i put the t/o bearing on correctly and snugly when i put the trans in, just fyi.

do you have a bad vibration?
and if so, when you kinda popp the clutch does it go away??

Maybe one of the clips that hold the t/o bearing on, popped off. I had both of them pop off on me one time, they got wedged in the pressure plate and broke 3 fingers off.

cant say i have a vibration cantdoadonut, just the noise. se-r sam i was thinking along those lines but more towards just the clips being loose.

did you have any noise or problems when that happened?did both of them pop off at the same time?

I heard a noise that I knew wasn't right, I believe one came off, then 2 days later the other gave way. I don't think they could be loose, they are either clipped on or not. Mine had no play that could be considered loose.
