okay so i have a stock gtir motor with gtir harness ecu and maf. in a ser b13. well now it seems right around 4500 to 5000 rpms it wants to break up and pop. it almost feels like a rev limiter. i gapped plugs and changed fuel filter cleaned up the rotor alittle. just dont know what else to do now. i have it set at low boost its at 7 pounds. it does it every gear. one time i drove it it seemed it went threw boost fine but it was one gear that one time. what could it be?

okay so its 91 ser with gtir. gtir ecu, maf, and harness. seems like today i turned the boost down to about 8lbs. seems when it was cold it boosted fine and took off. then it g ot a little warmer snd right around 45 to 5000 rpms broke up. seems to have a high idle. around 2000rpms. some times it goes down to around 1500rpms checked for boost leaks and havent found a thing. no free rev or anything. only breaks up under a load. you can throttle it up not moving and it will be fine.

Its probably your ecu. I had the exact same issue with my swap. I got it tuned by Clark Steppler at Wolf Technology...he fixed it right away! Apparently its some sort of fail safe thing in the ecu that Wolf Tech has an easy fix for ;)

Yes this sounds like a boost leak issue actually.
