Are white wheels really hard to keep clean?

Yes they are. I have had to sets of white wheels on my car. They look pretty as hell when they are clean but like 2 days after they are dirty..:(

Big Brakes will do this....The EBC Greenstuff pads are supposed to be low dust but they lie. The dust just wipes off if it's dry but once you get it wet your screwed, simple green is almost your only option.

That is the best looking Sentra I have ever seen. Excuse me, I have just soiled myself. :D

BTW how do we keep these wheels clean? Any special cleaners we can use? Soap doesn't seem powerful enough and I'm afraid to use wheel cleaner.

i used some spray on wheel cleaner that and just rubbing it with a cloth cleans them

i usually use a wet rag, as long as the brake dust isnt too thick it works good, be careful what cleaners you use though, the harsh cleaners have crazy acids in them that can eat the paint up, and then the brake dust gets in the places where the paint is bad and makes for a really ugly wheel.. if you had to use soap just use regular stuff you wash your car with

Fortunately my wheels come powder coated so I don't have to worry about paint coming off. I use the meguires wheel cleaner which does have acid in it. I do run into the problem of getting brown stains on the wheels and Meguires takes it right off. The other thing to do is use a compound wax and wax away. This will also help with protecting the wheels as well.

I couldn't picture myself having white wheels. Heck, when I had grey wheels, they were black after a couple of days of driving. I can't imagine what white would be like. Even my black wheels change colors after a couple of days. Guess I'm hard on the brakes, but these darn Axxis pads really love to leave some dust behind to show how well they work. :o
