So Iv just swapped a new engine into my pulsar, last one cooked itself due to a blown upper radiator hose.
New thermostat, coolant, upper radiator hose lol. New (to me) 2nd hand radiator, immaculate condition.
So the cars runs beautifully, until you get it on the open road and give it some sh!t. It only takes a couple minutes before the temp has risen to slightly above half way and it dies. Give it 10-15 mins and shes fine again. Starts and runs normally, unless you work the revs and heat it up again.
At first I thought I was overheating it. But it threw code 21 which is "Ignition Signal Missing in Primary Coil" or "no feedback from ignition circuit". I cleared the code, ran the car, and it didn't throw the code again until it stalled again.
It also turns out I have a very slight leak from the thermostat housing, no biggie, will re-silicon in the morning.
Also, this is a GA16DE, I know its not strictly sr20, but so similar I was hoping you could offer advice anyway!
