I have a Classic, and i don't know where an ideal spot to mount the AFC. I *do not* wan't to put it on the dash. 1) The heat (in the summer) can damage the unit. 2)I don't really want it in plain view...for ovious reasons.

It would be a perfect fit if you could sacrafice one of your heat vents, or even down below the ashtrey?? Where do you have your mounted?

I've seen them in the radio pocket, and also in the rear view mirror (crazy). I would put it below the heater controls in the pocket. My $.02

i mounted mine on the cup holders... pull out the cup holder, put the mounting bracket on it... the mounting bracket has three "strips" with one that has apexi word on it...

rest the three strips on the cup holder, with the apexi word on the front... and the rear two strips should be able to sit in the cup holder nicely... now use zip ties or imagination to secure the two strips down to the cup holder....

the safc would now even fold forward and hide inside the empty slot above the cup holder when u slide the cup holder in, and u can use the apexi word strip as a handle to pull it in/out...

might sound confusing, but go try it with just the mounting bracket.. u would get what i mean

Ive seen it in a glasses holder on the over head ceiling ones one time. It looked great. Awesome spot if you ask me.

I put mine on the steering column, it doesnt really cover up much, besides like low rpms, and like over 140mph. But if your actually going that fast i doubt you will be looking at your spedo. And besides the s-afc has a tach anyway.:)
