i tried a second gear scratch yesterday and when i hit the clutch t go to second i go a big CLUNK. got the scratch but the clunk sounded bad.

also, where should i buy the mounts/inserts from?

Get the inserts. And get them soon. Attempting second gear "scratches" with bad mounts will lead to a broken tranny. You can get them from summit racing, or Suspension Restoration parts out in Cali. Trust me I know from experience about breakin the tranny.

An article in Nissan Performance Magazine said that Place Racing was going to completely redesign its mounts for the B13/B14. I don't know the progress on that, but it could be an alternative to ES inserts if you wanted one.

buy the motor mount inserts (front and back) and do the tranny mount yourself... i did...

question, i gotta look but the big circle torque mount on the passenger side, does it have holes like the normal ones do? i want to fill that in my home-made way too...

all i do is fill the majority of the holes with steel bolts, then glue the bolts in place and fill the rest of the area with industrial strength epoxy... i did it to the tranny one and looooooooove it!!!

is there a link to the mount inserts to buy them? theres 4 mounts total correct? and this will fix my clunking and vibration when letting off gas and going over humps in the road?

i bought mine from www.courtesyparts.com .... but like i said, buy the front and back (motor mounts) and fill the 2 other (torque mounts)

Buy two tubes of 3M WindowWeld, buy a set of blown mounts from a junkyard, fill the mounts in with it. It's available at your local auto parts store, make sure it's 3M brand, not some Home Depot shit. This will make rock solid mounts that last. I have them on my GTX, my roomates have them in their Honda's, the shit works.

yea don't buy anything cheap that will crack, i used some industrial strength epoxy, and its 2-3 months later and is still rock hard....
