First of all, this would just be my 2nd post, a total noob here. So apologies if it's in the wrong place.

Took out my B13's carpetting some months back. Noticed that it was always getting wet for no reason, and found out it was the AC drain. Got it fixed, and frankly I find it easier not to have a carpet on, especially when I have to clean up after some kids.

Thing is the floor gets too hot when I go on long drives or get stuck in traffic for a couple of hours, and I was wondering if there's any other alternative to a carpet. Right now, I just stuck some carton boxes under the floor mats. I've read some post where they took out the carpet to reduce weight, and just used rubber coating on the floor. Doesn't it get hot after a while? I mean, rubber's rubber right? I found this too - Lobucrod http://www.lobucrod.com/. It's going to cost an arm and a leg to have that stuff shipped to the Philippines, but it looks more useful than a carpet. Anyone used this? Any feedback?

Since you've repaired the cause of your carpet getting wet, I'd just replace the carpet. Seems like the easiest solution to your problems.

believe it or not... i used black astro turf in one of my vehicles. on a hot day, it molded itself to the shape of my floor and was PERFECT for ease of maintenance and cleaning.
