: HP #'s on turbo'd DE w/ cams?

I can't find any real #'s and I was curious if anybody has had their DE turbo'd and dyno'd and just hasn't posted the #'s. I have the S3's and the UR pulley set. I am going to run stock boost and I will be choking my engine with a 2.5 DP and a 2.25 mandrel exhaust. Any info would be appreciated.

I'll get around to dyno'ing my car someday. t25, 370ccs, s3's, 60mm greddy exhaust. I'm at 95% injector duty cycle at 7psi at around redline(~7800rpms). I just used this little fuel injector calculator thing... assuming .55 brake specific fuel consumption, four 370cc injectors will make about 255 crank hp at 100% duty cycle. With the boost cranked to 10psi, I hit 100% around 6k rpms or so. So roughly 210whp at stock boost.... or something like that.

Cool, that is what I am shhoting for. Probably around 200 ft lbs or tq. right?

i really wouldn't recommend anything over 80% duty cycle personally ... 100% just scares the hell out of me :scared:

I have a dyno chart from my S3's before and after on my webpage under the nissan B14 se-r section.

Yeah, I've heard that 80-85% is about what you want you limit to be. Seeing how at stock boost i'm already at 95% though.... I'm planning on upgrading to a bigger maf and 4 bar fuel pressure.

If I would've known that I'd be making this kind of power with the cams, I would've gone to the 4bar and bigger maf to begin with!

I accidently took it down when I redid the section. Its back up there now... heres the link:

This is going from a 91 cam to the S3 cams @ 21psi of boost.

My dyno numbers are in my sig. I have S4's with 370's on a T28 at 7psi. I have stock pulleys, stock cam gears, and a stock fuel pump. I will be getting a techtom to find out the % my injectors are at! Any questions feel free to PM me! Have a good one!

That's with stock cams on a DE motor @ 9psi, T28 turbo, 370 injectors at 3-bar FP.
Knowing my numbers and Mark's numbers with the JWT cams, you can see how much those cams let the engine breathe. About 35whp and 10 ft-lbs of torque.

I just installed a 4-bar setup with bored MAF, and hope to have dyno #s within the next month or so.

if you're running the 370's at 3 bar, I'm pretty sure you're topped out as I'm topped out with the smaller turbo and less agressive cams.

Well it might be a bit more, yours is at 9psi while he has it set to 7 psi

Greg, your powerband dies off early compared to mine. How come??

Actually your making less power than him throughout the powerband... the dropoff in torque happens around 5k for the both of you, but his hp still goes up around 6500 while yours starts going down...

No cams? So if you had a DET w/ cams and a DE with a T25 with the same cams the DE would have more power? and if so where would the exrta power be?

Ok so I have a T25 bolted on my DE with TMIH and I don't know what BAR I'm at how do I check do I ask Ben at JWT since he processed the paperwork on my ECU. I will call him tomarrow but about the injector duty % did you guys use that math equation, how do we really know at what percentage we are at, I am running very rich (due to a unrecirculated stock valve) and my wastegate is stuck at 10psi so I want to know at what percentage they really are because I have heard of people with T28 with 370 injectors they are fine so why should we worry about the percentage????

The 1 point of compression... 8.5:1 cmpared to 9.5:1 for DET De(T) respectively. Higher compression means more HP

When you say BAR, I'm assuming you're talking about fuel pressure. Unless you asked for a 4-bar setup, you're running the stock 3-bar; plus, to run 4-bar, you need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

As for the injector duty cycle, using some electronics to measure that.

I'm an idiot, I was confusing the lines. Sorry!
