I see all these people saying they will donate money etc for a car that is not even built etc etc.. What about donating some money to James Farrer whos been dying to get his car done and complete. This car has had a full feature in Turbo Mag and Jamie has shown his dedication.. Racing in Florida and California with almost 0 sponsorship. Were from NJ.

Im not trying to steal any stardom from Andreas at all He is a good guy and is one of the best in SR20 Knowledge but when we posted a while back nobody wanted to donate anything.. This car ran a 9.8@140+ 2 years ago with a completely stock front end stock throttle body, Fmax bolton turbo kit modified, stock cylinder head with cams.

This car is already NHRA CERTIFIED and Jamie is NHRA Certified to drive this car.

Since then it has a staging brake setup, complete one piece front end 75mm TB HUGE Custom 8 injector intake manifold, Custom equal length Hotshot header, T76 Turbo, Water to air IC. etc etc He has 2 blocks both bored etc by JWT with the over bore pistons, a sick DPR Head and a custom head done by a guy in NJ all diff kinds of JWT Cam setups.

This car is set to run 8s and be competitive but there’s just no more funds. And its hard we need a Standalone setup and a few more things and this car will be a monster.. There is no other se-r in the world! that has had as much exposure in magazines and websites than this car. Its even been on ESPN2 a few times. In Cali, NJ, Florida, MD, and PA.

This car has so much custom work into already and is ready to roll pending a few small
Parts. The car has been painted in an out, taken down to bare metal, Custom wheelie bars, 2 motors, one being from Ben Benavidis and one which has been here from the start. Custom scatter shield, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, one piece front end etc etc.

This car is still hear and awaiting minor parts to be completed. A little sponsorship or help could bring this car a long way. Jamie knows how to build em and can drive his ass off HELL his 94 Supra he just acquired 6 months ago which was COMPLETELY 100% stock runs 10.4@140+ already ON STREET TIRES.

Lets pool some sponsorship anyone talk who u gotta talk to I know some of you have to know people. Lets get this car on the road! And kick ass for 2003 SEASON!

Heres some pictures to show u how this car sits as of now 3 months ago.. The 1 piece front end is on all the brackets are made the coolant system is together and ready to roll. I havent had a chance to head over to jamies and take pictures yet.

Only becuase the lack of interest / sponsorship. He would love to bring this car back onto the track Its just a matter of who wants to sponsor it and get some money going for it.. with a little love this car could come back and be super competitive and spark intrest all over again. Its so near completion ..

Why not sell the 10.4 Supra? If he has had it for only 6 months, and now it's that fast, he had to put money into it.

Supra is a 100% street car And what he uses to commute. And is big competitor in the Street Tires Class as it runs on BFG Drag Radials.. This sentra is the most serious sentra out there with tons of technology and custom work. These are the types of comments im looking for im looking for some help.. and people who know people so we can keep this going. This is where new technologys is embraced and tested and can be put to work on street cars like ours.

regardless of the other cars in his stable...he has a successfully raced/built SER that could use a little bit of funding. I really don't see much difference between Andreas's cause and this one. Both want to show the potential of the SR20 and gain some exposure for our community. Its about spanking some "Honda Booty" right? Like I stated in Andreas's post...If my own car wasn't such a blood sucking leech...;) I'd contribute to the cause in a heartbeat...I wonder if this car will get the same kind of love?

Email/call Andreas. I know he was really looking forward to "getting respect" for an sr20.
Companies sposor drivers/race teams--forum members are here to talk sr20. For all the people who are sending money to other people to make their cars faster so your slow 15 seconds car can be "respected" see this

I give him props for having a bad ass SE-R, it's just that he went from stock to 10.4's in the Supra in 6 months. He could have spent the money on the Sentra instead. How many race cars do you need??

I hope you werent directing this towards me.. If not no biggie but just so u know im not an internet / forum only person i am personal friends and grew up with james farrer. We are just trying to get this car done to spank other cars / hondas and prove sr20power jamie has planned on selling only becuase of the lack of interest and competitiveness if we can get his car or some info or backround on him and his car in the right hands, IE Nissan america or other big companys it would be huge and this goes for Andreas's car as well

in all fairness to andreas, most of the people here are loyal to him b/c he has been loyal to the sr20deforum first. i don't know andreas personally, and have never dealt with him, (and i have also not contributed to his project) but i do know that he has selflessly offered a wealth of information to many. if andreas were to leave the sr20 community, i think most if not all would be extremely saddened. my point is, he has built a relationship with a good number of people here - he deserves their support.

Daryl, I kind of agree with you. Daryl does represent the N/E section. He is someone that we can actually go and see. Andreas (not taking anything awau from him) is in the South. Florida and surrounding states have easier access to him. I think the N/E guys should really back Jamie. Alot of people up here (NY,NJ,Conn,PA,NH etc) actually know him. Do the math. Daryl, I will help donate to you first. We up here should really be behind him.

Pretty White : Thanks, Im in no way not backing Andreas I would back him too. And will. I personally would donate $20 or whatever I could im just saying lets see what we can do with Jamie as well. His car is 95% done already setup and proven. Andreas is skills and achievements are also proven as his built 200sx ran 9s as well but what im saying is I know Jamie he goes to tons of events tons of pro racers no Jamie, Were friends with people , Chris Rado, Gary Guardella, Raffi Estevez, Javier Ortega, Sardis etc. If you know East Coast Drag Racing.. If you know Drag racing in general u know these names. If he gets some backing behind him again he will undoubtly run into this season like a mad man and try his best he just needs a little help finding sponsors.. As i said before Jamies the most SE-R known drag car on the planet around the magazines, the pros that race in NHRA and IDRC etc.. He will go fast and get the word out there.. His picures have been on fan sites like www.overboost.com, www.evotuners.com www.urbanracer.com along with tons of pics all over the newsstands. Its kinda like this Ben Benavidis is known, smart and has tons of skills but outside of us who knows of him? im not makin this a war of who knows who im just saying this car is known and Jamie is known. and people know him not cause hes some rich guy but because he went to tons of tracks with dedication and pride to make his car top notch and race the best he could kinda like Andreas is known here for helping people the best he can.. Both of these guys should Terrorize the east coast with there cars. Im just bringing up Jamie’s car cause its already 95% built. He just needs a little pushing from some sponsors if anyone knows anyone they can spread the word too or a little funding.. It only takes a little bit of seeing progress to get him to blowup with interest again and step up.. He’s ready.. We can do this guys!

honestly, if he's got a 10 second supra there is no way he should be bitching about not having enough to run his sentra. If the sentra was his priority then it would be running now.
having said that i agree with the fact that it would be good for the SER community to have his car running at the track, but i could never justify donating money to someone who's got a car like that for a daily driver.

FAST NX : You ever been to a big import event? Ever see the crew chris rado comes with or Bullish racing or any of the teams? They have tons of sponsors Rado shows up in his lexus + his 18 wheeler etc.. Sponsors are to get the name out there.. The money was in the supra because he stopped working on the sentra the scene was gettin way too competetive and he started putting money into the supra.. This car would have a nice phat SR20FORUM banner on it etc. Sponsor are on all race cars even people who have alot of money and trust me jamie may have 2 fast cars but hes just an average guy with a pretty average salary for his age. Its all about the sport man.. Anythign learned from his car will go into getting these types of cars known and in tern will get us more publicity and eventually more vendors..

so is jamie on the mailing list, or on a forum somewhere? how would I know that my money wouldn't be put into his supra? or onto another car? how much does he need?

I'm just asking questions for brainstorming purposes

I don't expect you guys who are not from the Tri-state to know how big of a deal his se-r is. I remeber when Jamie used to be @ E-town on wendsday and friday nights running 11.0's and higher, doing shake downs. I remember watching him upset mid 9 second cars running his consistant 10 flats last year. I remeber watching the looks on people faces and hearing, "Yo that's a Sentra?" from the thousands in the crowds. It made me feel good to know about Sr20's when people came up to his car and said "Yo, what engine he's running in that thing?"

Eastcoast racing has become so big and competitive in a little than 2 years, that it's hard for the grass roots guys to compete anymore. It now litterally boils down to who ever has the most money can do the most development, which in turn will equal the faster cars. How else can you guys explain an 8 second FWD Ecotec car?

I personally know how small Jamie's crew is as I watch my father and some of the other se-r guys helped him put his motor back together last year at an atco even when he blew something (can't remember what). Jamie's trailer, spare block and 4 friends can only carry him so far, as compared to Chris Rado (whom I also know) who has a professional rig (2 floors with a loung room!), carries 4 spare TRD factory built engines to each event, and has a 12 man team with a DJ.

I will support Jaime not only because he races an se-r, but because he does it for the love not the braggin rights. That's why you fellas won't hear him talking this and talking that, unless someone pushes his buttons.
