I am replacing my head gasket right now and i was trying to pry the head off on the passengers side. I accidentally messed up that plastic piece that is in the block by the timing chain (Chain Guide?). Well my question is this. Do I really need to replace this, my tensioner is fine. I do have enough room to superglue it. I know thats ghetto but i REALLY do not want to take off the front cover to the engine, much less know how to do it with the engine in the car. Can I replace that plastic piece without taking the front cover off?

can anyone help out...i have searched for answers, but have not found any.
