I am having all sort of problems, began with the 60K service. After that, idle in cold has been jumpy, dealer inspected it and found nothing wrong. I went dead and had to tow it to the dealer. Again they found nothing. The car is running, now jumpy cold idle and hesitation when accelerating. And yesterday a grinding noise, from the right side (passenger side) of the engine. Sounds like a bearing and is random. Engine revs fine so I'm not sure where the noise is coming from. Any ideas out there?

Do you have AC? If so, the bearing noise could be from the AC compressor. Mine was making a whole mess of bearing noise. I just bypassed it with a smaller belt.

The problems sound like ignition to me...the dealer replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, and plug wires during the service right?

mine was a water pump that was going out was squeeking like a mofo for a week than it went out and cost me 180 bucks to fix

oh yeah might be the altinator (spelling is way off)

I was thinking about the water pump, the a/c compressor was changed 6 months ago, so I discarded it, but last night when I was going home, I cranked up the engine and started warming up, suddenly belt screeching noise and car died. The alternator bearing is shot. well at least I found out about the grinding noise. But the jumpy idel and hesitation remains..
