Running 10 psi on a BB setup, 370 inj, stock maf, jwt ecu and stock fuel pump. Is 10 psi safe??

As long as it's only 10psi and *NEVER* more!

Good cushion.

12 pounds is safe also. but i wouldn't push the envelope past that with the set up you have now.

If you're tuning a boost controller I would set it low first to make sure you aren't getting boost spikes. Once your holding rock-solid boost you can bump it up to 12. Very little "cushion" at 12psi.

i would get a walbro, I never went past stock boost before i upgraded my fuel pump, just to be safe, but w/ that setup + walbro, I've ran 10psi all day w/ no problem, 11.5 for short amounts of time, I would hate to see you lose the motor b/c of a stock fuel pump:(

is that a stock DE maf, how much boost can i run with a t25, 8.3:1 pistions, DE maf, walbro 255, and 370s

T25 and stock injectors....I'd still not go above 12psi.

yeah, you run out of injector before you top out the maf actually, but just by a little bit. You pretty much max them out at the same time.

with my gti-r stock injectors and factory pump i made 287whp at 20 pounds. i would thing that his current set up would do the 12 pounds witout a problem. now i am not mr. know-it-all but just giving a opinion. but i do agree with the rest of the guys get a pump just to play it safe. that way you will never have to find out the hard way.

The GTi-R utilizes 444cc injectors vs. the Bluebird's 370cc.

...not to mention T28 vs. T25

Ok till I get the pump, I knocked it down to around 9- 9.5. Then after I get the pump, I will go with 11 or 12. Thanks fellas!!

Just listen for detonation. Sounds like a pebble vibrating in a tin can.

On my 9:5:1 DE with T28, stock Maf, 370's and JWT ECU that seems to be programmed to run a little rich..my Techtom CMX-100 shows that on full throttle runs my MAF and Injectors are at 100%...and the CMX doesn't show anything over 100% so I could be at more than 100%...for maybe a pass at the track...you should be okay...there are several people here on this board that are running above 10-12 psi at the track successfully. Not really sure if they are running those levels of boost on the street...but one thing I would recommend at the track when running that much boost is race gas...or at the very least some octane boost..

I agree with that. :D

does the same go for if you have s3 cams or is that taking a chance at topping out maf and inj. at 10 pds.

You're limited by the MAF and your fuel system. The S3's will help get you there quicker but are still limited by the aforementioned.

You just gotta go all or none...*** once you start, there's no turning back!!!:D

Don't know if this helps, but my tuners recommended I run 10psi max on my BB DET. Intercooler is the limiting factor.. mine is the stock item. But then again, I don't run a MAF or DE fuel pump.

i have now,
t25
370 inj
bb ic front mounted
warlboro fuel pump
and i am sure there is more, but i run 10 psi on the street all day(on 93 octane gas) and 12-13 psi on the track with an average octane mix of about 99-100. just be safe, and listen. i rarely shift over 7200rpms anymore, because of the powerband with the t25. i also watch my egt's.

I have a DE, t25, s3 cams, greddy exhaust (60mm), stock maf, 370cc. injectors. At STOCK boost, I'm topping out the injectors if the temps are in the low 50's. When it's around 75 degrees, I hit ~95% duty cycle at stock boost (~7500 rpm). I run 10 psi when messing with people which tops out the injectors in the 6k rpm range. Fortunately, I have 93 octane around here and JWT turns a little rich, otherwise, I think I would've blown the motor already.

I've come to realize this though, no need to go above stock boost when in 2nd or 1st gear. With the cams, 2nd gear spins a bit at stock boost. Boosting higher in 2nd gear just results in a lot of wheelspin and no forward motion. So whenever I make it around to the drag strip, I'll run stock boost until 3rd gear, then turn it up.
