: Turbo prices dropping?

I noticed that in the past 2 weeks or so, there have been numerous T25 setups for sale that didn't sell. These were complete kits with injectors, I/C and everything minus ECU for like $1200 or so. The only thing I can see i that the prices need to drop, i'm guessing that most people are planning to bypass the T25 right away and go for something bigger right off the bat, but then these people trying to sell are going to lose big time $$, but there does not seem to be much demand and I guess that's a good thing because everyone is boostin' big time.
I dont think this thread had a point, I'm jsut reflecting...

I bought my "Kit" for 1500$ and I still need to get my JWT reprogrammed and buy an intercooler/piping. I didn't want to go real big or too small so I went with the T-28 for my first setup.

the only reason my kit is 1200 is becuse the turbo is a hybride and is brand new with swain white lightning coating witch was 225$ extra plus my injector's just come back from r/c and where balanced and cleaned this kit should give you great power.also a polished intercooler and brand new down pipe this kit will easley put you in the hight 12-low13.I really don't think its that bad of a deal for all new stuff thank you steve

I would say that mulemans price is very reasonable for what is included with the kit. I don't know him or anything like that, just stating my opinion

dude, $1200 for a 50-130 whp gain. are you joking, thats a bargain and a half.

a header, CAI, cams setup will cost you the same, and will most likely yield no more than 25 whp, if that. and its way louder, and a lot less smooth.

SR20 guys are friggin spoiled when it comes to turbo options. everyone and their mother makes something turbo for our cars. the only other setup i have seen for cheaper is the Miata Greddy kit, and that gets people like 40 whp, and they have to deal with 47 different black boxes to make more power. no IC in that setup, btw.

Honda turbo kits that will yield as much WHP as a simple BB conversion cost about $3000, lag way more, have half the driveability, and much more risk of exploding.

so, i guess it comes down to: "do you wanna go fast, or do you wanna suck?"

remember, i laid down 152 whp, 138 tq on the motor. that was with CAI, header, cams, ECU.

with $2000 total worth of turbo crap, i laid down 250 whp, 261 tq.

I want a trubo kit for under 4000! Where are those from and what comes with it? I was looking to get a custom one for around 2000. Let me know where I can get this god-like deal and a half!

You need to remember that not everyone can just spit up $1200, too. I DO want a T25. If I had $2000, I would have my turbo on already. I work part-time while going to school, and after bills, I make roughly $500 a month. This takes three long months to get enough just for that kit, then I need another month for my ecu, then another month for my exhaust, then another 2 months if I want my FMIC. Also, now is not a good time for big expenditures because there are xmas presents to buy. I would own muleman's kit right now if I had more money, but wouldn't we all?
