It'll take about 306hp to match the power to weight ratio of the Vette

Imagine a 2480lb SE-R with 400hp has a power to weight ratio of 6.2 lbs/hp, isn't Shaggy's SE-R somewhere or better than this. DAMN!!

1992 NX2000 2500 250hp 10

I wonder where a 3rd gen RX-7 would be in this list.... It has 280hp and weighs somewhere near 2700lb

hmm mine is like 130hp to (stock?) 2500lbs....comes out to about 19.2, which will hopefully be lowered quite a bit when I get my stuff in order.

Why is the weight so high? Don't tell me you weigh 500lbs.

Im a slim 200lbs... just the car is heavy. Full interior but no a/c and gassed up, with an amp and 2 intercoolers to weigh it down. Ran with the tmic but had the fmic mounted, either way it still grossly overweight.

hmm...
my 98 CBR F3 with a pipe, dyno'd at 87 rwhp.
With me on it, maybe 600 lbs...

600/87=6.897

Yeah, it's pretty fast. Only been riding for a bit over a month. I'm still scared to go full throttle in first. I need to find some corners to carve though, roads here suck :(

Hey Charlie,
Aren't you comparing your hp measured at the wheels to their hp measured at the crank?

No, for example I gave my self a rating 226hp (Thats what the Avenir is roughly rated at the crank although it will be very easy for me to make that at the wheels. Which i'm sure I make that or slighty more right know.

So every things shown in my first post is crank horse power but as you know 220+hp is easy to come by on a stock SR20DET.

So those other cars "true" power to weight ratios would actually be higher than that meaning "not as good".

These are rough estimates of course you would also factor in driver weight and etc.
