It seems like everytime I am driving at night and stop at a light or pull up to the drive way, i Smell smoke. and its not oil smoke or exhaust smoke, but it smells like something electrical.

When i dont have my lights on (during daylight) i can sit the car running forever and nothing happens..

I have some xenon lights and an autozone headlight harness..... could that be burning??? or is it a bigger load on the alternator, and thats somehow burning???

please help!!!!!!!!

Don't know specifically what lights you're running but it's documented that too high a bulb wattage will fry your headlight housings and wiring. Check out SE-R.net and look at the FAQ for more info.

Hope this helps.

I had some problems with the headlight harnesses melting but it was because the bulbs didn't clip into the harness good. Do a good visual check of all the harness.

You need to get an upgraded harness from www.suvlights.com or southwestautoworks.com

If not, it's going to be a tricky and potentially expensive repair down the road.
