If you've got boost I would really try the iridiums. I only paid $6.50 a plug for them. @ Summit racing. I like them! Anyway if not I have my 2 week old ones (BKR7E) sitting here that I'd sell you. PM me.

With the Iridiums what plug did you run? When turbo with Denso Iridium I believe a IK20. NA on SR20DE was IK16.

Its IK22's or 5310 is the part number. The ngk plugs can be picked up from any Keystone dealer.

Uhh, according to http://www.densoiridium.com/findmypart.asp SR20s take IK20s period. IK16s are for GA16s.

Just like SucKit said though, the cross reference Denso part is IK22 for BKR7E.

BS! IK16 is for the SR20DE and the IK20 is for the 1.6L. The last two numbers have nothing to do with displacement it's the heat range. Check your own link and you will see.

It wasnt a suggestion its fact that heat range 7 plug for the Sr20 is the IK22 or 5310. Thats the designated plug for the Gti-r and Prelude Type S stock. Plus that online catalog is messed up cause the 91-94 listing is different from the 95+ for the Sr20.

Hmmm...let's see:

Below are the results of the search.

Year Make Model Engine Ir Power Gap
1992 Nissan 240SX 2.4L - L4 IK16 0.044
1992 Nissan 300ZX 3.0L - V6 IK16 0.044
1992 Nissan 300ZX 3.0L - V6 IK20 0.044
1992 Nissan D21 PICKUP 3.0L - V6 IK20 0.032
1992 Nissan MAXIMA 3.0L - V6 IK20 0.044
1992 Nissan NX 2.0L - L4 IK20 0.032
1992 Nissan PATHFINDER 3.0L - V6 IK20 0.032
1992 Nissan SENTRA 1.6L - L4 IK16 0.044
1992 Nissan SENTRA 2.0L - L4 IK20 0.044

From the cross reference guide:
NGK Part Iridium Part
BKR5E IK16
BKR6E IK20
BKR7E IK22
PFR5B11 IK16
PFR6B11 IK20
PFR7B11 IK22

XFR series plugs (listed in P10 manuals as alternate platinums) were not listed.

Also, when did I imply a correlation existed between displacement size and the last two digits of Denso part numbers (i.e. IKxx)?

Like SucKit said (again), the online catalog is messed up if you scroll through all the SR20 years (96 & 98 lists the GA as taking an IK20 w/ the SR taking an IK16, 99 & 00 lists both types for SR20s, etc). I wish I had scoped the list out more and figured that out because, thanks to the online catalog, I just returned a perfectly good set of IK16s (in hand!) in exchange for IK20s (being shipped) for my (still NA) '92. But that's what you get for expecting that a manufacturer direct website would have consistently accurate info.

Peace!

I'm sorry! I own a 96 200SX SE-R and that was the reason for the confusion. It lists my vehicle as a IK16. I should've looked further down the list before making that assumption.
