Well my car is sitting awaiting the new axle. I got the axle rebult this morning ($50). I started the install, and I can only get it about 3/4's of the way in. I have a big hammer, and some specialty tool to keep me from tearing up the threads on the end. Why won't it go in that last 1/4"? I took it out once and checked the circlip and it looked fine, I also made sure to lube it up really good before I inserted it. HELP!?

If you are talking about the driver side it is a huge PITA. There is a part at the very end that also need to be aligned at the same time that the circlip is being compressed (IIRC). I took the circlip off and inserted the axle (just to get everything aligned) and then put the circlip back on and pushed real steady and hard. Good luck.
Well I think it's all aligned. I hope so atleast. I got it all together, and took it for a drive. Drives great, and it doesn't leak any fuid. Is the axle supposed to sit perfectly flush against the tranny?

No. There should be about a 1/4" gap.
