I finally got a digital cam so now I can share.

Body kit, new paint and DET are coming. Mostly acquired, but probably late next summer.

Looking at Koschi's hatch interior today may inspire an interim project in that area.

[ enjoy ... ]

I like it very clean

thanks.

The relocation was done with about 40 ft stranded copper from home depot ( 2 gauge I think ) and a battery box from pepboys.

The battery box is sandwiched between two pieces of plywood. The lower piece of plywood is bolted to the bottom of the trunk on top of two straps that ratchet and hold it all in place.

The sub is a 10" Volfenhag 4710 on a dual channel 400w Alpine amp.
Its crisp, not flubbery, and puts out a nice back massage when you want it to.
No complaints from me on it.

I wondered if anyone would notice those seats ;)

It took a while to get the interior sorted out. I have a friend who takes alot of junk cars accross mexican border for body work. He introduced me to Juan in Tiajuana at a place called Economic, and a leather wholesaler called Carol Industries in Otay Mesa (california).

I bought one hide of grey and two hides of black for about $450 and took them to Juan.

He repolstered the front, back seats plus the doors and the shift boot for $200 plus a fifth of Wild Turkey. He did it on a sewing machine that must have been 50 years old. I put the grey on the strut tower covers myself.

If your interesting in doing leather, where it hurts the most and is really worth shopping around, is in the cost of the leather. Most places quoted me over 2000 for the hides alone. I could buy my own cow and eat it over a year at that price.

------
The shorty antenna is kinda funny. I first replaced it with a dumb 10 inch thing from pep-boys. A few months later a Shell drive thru wash took it. So I bought another cheap one, and the same carwash took it too. I don't listen to the radio much, so I just plopped a 76 ball on the remaining stub.

-------

Yeah. I should get off my ass and polish the valve cover and get some pretty silicon hoses.

--------
I got the wheels in '99 and did the suspension at about the same time. They are 15 inch "American Racing" model 48 or 49. I'd like something with more offset. Right now, I can't go past 195 in the rear and that frustrates me.

The suspension is KYB g2/Eibach. I'll be passing this on soon if progress starts making those b13 coilovers and perhaps a progress sway bar in the rear. I think those are 2mm thicker then ST. Then I'll be itching for wider tires !

Thanks for the info man. What kind of strut tower brace is that? That NX almost looks like mine without the rims.
