: ABS light after CV joint install!

Here's the deal. My CV joint was shot, so I decided to take it to a transmission place and asked them to install a CV joint for me. I supply the parts and they do the install. Simple right! NOT!! At least for these shmucks. My car is a 1992 NX2000 with 74,000 miles, 5sp and ABS. When I got my car back it was way worse than before. Firstly the car would shudder from the driver side (the side that got fixed) when accelerating and the ABS stayed on. I knew these guys where jokers when I went right back and asked them about the noise and the ABS light. They said the joint might be warped (it was an aftermarket rebuild) and ya I would just have to take it back and get another one. But the problem was the brake light. They said the sensors had to heat up a bit and the llight would go off, if not pull the battery terminal and reset the ECU. Ok whatever! It didn't go out with neither of these. So I went to my alignement guy and asked him. He said they may have f**** the sensor up when installing or just installed it wrong. I called the transmission place up and they denied they even touched the ABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Idiots, I said they would here from me soon once I figured out what is wrong on wednesday.
SOOOOO here's my question. Have any of you replaced your CV joint and the ABS came on afterwards? The light comes on at startup, turns off and comes on again when I start moving. And what the hell is the shudder? Help me!!!

Check the ABS line that is attached to the strut. My light came on, and upon inspection, my line was sliced where it got caught on something. No problem, I didn't like ABS anyways!!:)

mine did that but it was before fixing it, i still havne' t fixed it yet since it's being stored currently.
but i did have my abs system checked out and everything was fine, so im expecting it to go away after i replace the axles

It is the sensor. When the axle was removed they proballuy twisted the knuckle, hub into a pretzel. That happened to us already. Warning, that sensor ain't cheap!

I will post how to diagnoise it when I come back home.
