According to AEM they say that in some cases depending on the vehicle the V2 produces 15%-25% more power than their regular cai's. These will also retail for 25% more. Wow! Mid to end January 03 is the release date. Honda/Acura and Mitsu models first. Then the rest will be released. Did not say which Nissan models though.
Crono1321 11-19-2002, 04:04 PM Coming a Honda dealer near you! I bet it never comes out for a sr20.
Ju§tin
REDSENTRASE-L 11-19-2002, 04:18 PM i bet this cai will cost more than buying my wife a boob job.
jamse-r 11-19-2002, 04:54 PM Yeah right, you see how long it took them to make AEM CAI for the Classic. HELLO AEM there are SR20's everywhere.
evo77 11-19-2002, 06:00 PM What about starting a petition or something? Maybe starting a new thread/poll for members who want AEM to develop one for the B14. Get enough people on it and email it to a few AEM reps. Or hell, just make their original cai for us.
REDSENTRASE-L 11-19-2002, 06:04 PM i'm not the smartest guy in the world, but i know that they make a cai for the b14.

Uh Jay-R I think he means the V2 cold air, not the standard one. fuckin newbie:p
evo77 11-19-2002, 07:08 PM wtf?
SmoothDaddyFig 11-19-2002, 07:37 PM I still wont need it.:D
Calum 11-19-2002, 07:49 PM Wow, so they get to charge more money for a piece of pipe with a filter on the end? As P.T. Barnum once said...

We should start threads for everything that we want for the sr20 and turn it into a petion and have it forwarded to the companies to show them how many people would be interested.
FastNX 11-19-2002, 08:56 PM interseted in a sub-$400 price that is....
Wow.. so you'll get .8 more hp if that! and less to the wheels :D It's just bigger pipe diameter. Which is great and all if your car has a MAP sensor like a civic. Our cars have a MAF so no matter how huge your pipe is it'll reduce down to 2.5 inches once it hits the maf so you'll never have a nice straight piece of pipe. I believe most if not all CAI's (cept for AEM) are already 3inchers for our cars.
eliterit 11-19-2002, 11:05 PM from the pic it looks like it has a larger diameter pipe on top of the smaller pipe which probably has a bunch of insulation i'm guessing which would make cooler air. but it's just my opinion.
mpg9999 11-19-2002, 11:25 PM It has two pipe diameters, creating resonance at 2 different rpm ranges, so instead of one nice hump in the power band you get two.
SR20steve 11-20-2002, 02:52 AM 3 words......pop..char...ger:D thats all you need.
MaddMatt 11-20-2002, 12:45 PM HELLO AEM there are SR20's everywhere.
But were outnumbered 10-to-1 by Honduhs....

And thats a big problem.
SchmottySE-99 11-20-2002, 07:25 PM This design creates multiple frequency sound waves that help charge the cylinders with more air throughout the entire rpm range. Because more air is able to enter the cylinder chambers, the AEM V2 is able to create more horsepower and torque-across the entire rpm range-than any other air induction system.
so they are using sound waves to produce power?
won't be long until some aussie hooks up a couple of subs and tweeters to his intake!
