As you might have seen in the NX2000 area I and another SR20DE owner are having an argument on whether or not the engine wiring harnesss to an automatic SR20DE is the same as a manual SR20DE. I say they are the same, he claims they are different anyone know for sure if there is or not. I say they are the same because I have torn harnesses out of an automatic and a manual and I didnt see any real obvious difference. Some one help us out here.

from what ive seen in the fsm, they are the same sorta. just looked. it doesnt have two seprate harnesses for the different trannies but appears either there are two connectors for stuff or just different harness. doesnt look like the engine harness itself its different, but the body harness, the one that goes to the fans and such, are different. the fans have different connectors, round not square or something like that. id have to go out and look at my car to be sure there isnt two plugs there. if i had to guess....they are the same, with just the unused plugs taped back as many other things are done on the car

The sub harnesses are different. What I mean by sub harness, is the harness that runs to the trans, starter, and such are different. The main engine harness is the exact same. There is a bracket bolted to the drivers side fender under the intake box where the trans subharness plugs into the main engine harness.
