OK. So I have this large check the insurance company sent me for the damage done by that STUPID damn deer last month. I'm not going to pay Cooter good money to bolt/unbolt a fender and replace a side mirror. So I'm going to do as much of the work myself, and just have Cooter's Garage pull out a dent and paint. I pocket the change $$ :)

What'll I do with the difference? I know suspension travel up front is still an issue, even with the CG plates. I want some shortened struts.

Here's who I know makes them:
Ground Control Advanced Design
Truechoice
Motivational
Shigspeed

So. I'm looking for others experiences/thoughts/suggestions here. Bang for the buck is high on my list. I know I can get some superultraexpensive shortened double adjustable remote reservior shocks for a Mint, but if it's not significantly better than say the ~$300 Motivational units, forget it.

I plan to continue to autocross/street drive/track drive the car.

Let's hear it...

how much are you going to have left is the key here

I should have in the neighborhood of $1000 left over.

I plan to ONLY do the fronts. The rears of a B13 has enough travel. I might get some $50 motivational rear plates to free up another 1/2" or so though....

What about my old Shocktek struts (http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30479)? :D Buy them from me, pay $500 to Moriss Dampers to get them repaired/serviced, drink beer.

I have some truechoice, but you'll get a better deal for the Shigspeeds for the same stuff, if not more(adjustment wise).

Go with ShigSpeed. I dunno if you've ever dealt with Scott before, but he's a good guy. AFAIK he's got the best deal as well.

The only other one I'd consider is Advanced Design and I hear mixed things about them.

Motivational won't give you what you need, they're more of a street-oriented shock. I didn't even know Truechoice was still in business.

my 2 cents

I'd be surprised if Truechoice went out of business anytime soon. They cater to mostly the racing crowd and just happen to do street applications too. For example, they do the suspension work for a bunch of the IRL teams. High quality stuff, definitely pricey though. Lots of cool racers stuff in their catalog.

Maybe I was thinking of Shocktek...

I think Scott's setup is equivalent to the Truechoice stage 3, but for much less.
