does it have to be in neutral for you to accomplish this? i'm wondeirng because i can't find neautrual now *** ti got the tranny out and the stupid case wont come apart. Any help would be apreciated, i need a car!

On the end of the case there is a round cover with like 6 bolts holding it on. Under that there is a snap ring. Remove that and it will come apart.

Pry the fucker. It will slide past the shaft bearing.

when you pull it off it has to tilt one way becuse it hits the shifting fork
