Where is the idle adjustment screw at? The only picture of it that I can find in my FSM doesn't give me enough surrounding area for me to get a good idea where it's located at. I haven't really looked for it yet but I want to have an idea before I go out in the cold to look for it. I'm pretty sure I need to adjust it, the car idles fine at 800 when it's warmed up, but when I pull the TPS, rev it a few times, it stays up around 1500, and kind of fluctuates between 1500-1700. I can't be sure my timing is set right until the damn thing idles where it's supposed to when I'm adjusting it. Thanks.

IIRC, you have a B13. Look under the intake runner of cylinder #1, and you'll see the little plastic or metal idle adjustment screw.

IIRC, its the 1st runner on the passenger side. Theres a screw down there somewhere. just play with it. I marked mine with a marker in case i had to put it back to where it was. BUT ONCE YOU SET THAT SCREW, TIMING IS JUST A FEW REVS AWAY!!!

Speaking of idle adjustment, I have a question to run by you guys (since his seems to be answered).
My SE-R idles really rough, and right under the 750rpm line on the tachometer. Every once in a while, when I push in the clutch, the car will almost die but then rev a couple of times. Could this be because I need to clean my throttle body, reground the MAF, or adjust my idler? I've read somewhere in the past that it could be that my idle is set to be too low and the ECU is having to compensate for it to keep my car running, which could cause my car to be idling so rough correct?
Well I suppose I could clean my TB and reground the MAF anyways. ;)
TIA. :)

Thanks guys, I took a peak under the hood this morning when I got to work and I can see the screw. Is that the IAC valve solenoid it's on? I kind of figured it'd have to be on one of the IAC components. I just don't get why the FSM can be so hit and miss sometimes. They'll explain the shit out of one thing and then barely address something else. Oh well at least i know now. Thanks again.

Ok here's the deal, I turned the idle control screw as far clockwise as I can and it's still idling way too high around 1500 rpms. Did I not have it in "timing mode" or something? I mean, racing the engine three times has never appreared to do anything. The FSM mentions running the engine at 2K rpm for 2 minutes, but if the engine is already up to temp I shouldn't need to do this right? I drove for a half an hour before I got home, stopped the car, pulled the TPS off and restarted it, and revved three times. There's some diagnostic stuff in the FSM to check the IACV-air regulator and the IACV-AAC valve. So I'll give those a try, but I thought I'd go ahead and ask now so that if I do these tests and everything checks out, what the next step might be. Thanks.
