Ive just gotten delivery of a Tial 35mm wastegate and just needed some help installing it. The Tial has 2 connections on the housing, one at the top/cebtre and the other below the mid point. Now on the diagram i got with the Tial, is shows that both need to be connected to the boost line and onto my boost controller, can anyone confirm this for me please?
Im used to using regular internal wastegate actuators which only have the one connections so please be gentle:)

You only need to connect teh air line in the top if you are running a EVC. If not the just the mid body one is used.

Im currently using the Apexi AVC-R, so that will go to the top right? what about the middle connection, do i plug it up? or just leave it free?
I have a Greddy Profec-B with a Tial 35mm. The "out" from the boost controllers stepper motor is routed to the top of the wastegate. The side connector on wastegate then runs to the turbos brass fitting on the outlet. I teed into this hose and routed it back to the "in" on the boost controllers stepper motor. I hope this helps some what.

Thanks Vrux, you got me thinking about what you said, and ive now figured it out. Bottom of Tial goes to boost pressure(compressor side) and the top goes to the AVC.

so the bottom connection needs to see boost and the top goes to the controller. Sounds simple. Although isnt it reccomended that the boost signal be taken from the intake manifold as that is the actual amount of boost that the motor is seening.
Are you referring to the boost signal sent to the back of the controller in the car? The controller motor mounted in the engine bay has an "in" and "out" fitting. The "out" is obvious, and goes to the top of the Tial wastegate. You will probably have to screw the addition fitting on since it usually is seperate in the box. The side fitting which was previously installed before I opened the box would normally run to the turbo outlet brass fitting. This is the pressurized side of the intake. Put a Tee into this hose and run the additional outlet to the "in" side of the controller motor. This is on a profec-b and I'm not sure how other boost controllers are setup just trying to explain what I did. To get a boost signal in the car tee into the fuel pressure vacuum line just like your boost gauge would connect. I think this connection is recomended after the throttle body.

thats exactly what i was trying to say...i just dont have the hardware yet. thanks

If you are not running a boost controller, then only the side port should be hooked up and the top should remain untouched. Since you are running a boost controller, the side will be hooked up to the boost source and the top to a vacuum port.

the side port should be connected to a vaccum port, and the top should be connected to the boost controller....look at tials web site, or the profec b directions.....
