OK I know I know, just buy the kit, obviously I would but I can't and thats why I'm here:D , OK anyway, now, lets go, I just changed my clutch about two months ago, then I went turbo about a month later, well stock clutch sucks so I want a better clutch, the disc itself is about 100 bucks for a street/strip from ACT or even a STG II or III for cheaper, so I want to get one of those, has anybody used the stock pressure plate with an aftermarket clutch if so any drivibality problems, real dangerous problems, none a mushy pedal foot could get used too?
Please list any and if so what clutch you are using.

I've been using the stock Nissan Key Value Clutch Kit $100 for about 9months............6months NA, and coming up on 3months turbo'd. It does slip after realy long drives and hard driving but it does handle the power quiet well for being a stock clutch. I think if I had a upgraded disk it might no slip as bad. The stock pressure plate does spin the tires up but after awhile its seems that the clutch disks is getting over heated and then it starts to fade but never fails, after things have cooled down it has good grip again.

yeah I know what you mean about hard driving and then it sucks, so you feel me and think that I should get a disc only and get the pressure plate at a later date like after the stock pressure plate gives after the harshness of the clutch although I don't think the clutch should put much stress on the PP since the PP does the work..

No, I think you should also upgrade the pressure plate...........I'm going to try a upgraded disc with the stock pressure plate though.

I want to see how good the stock pressure plate works with a capable disc.
I know to many other people with stock NA SR20DE's with upgraded clutches that aren't worth a shit, and perform no better than my stock clutch. They always ask me what type of clutch do you run, and I say the stock one and they say what! how much did it cost I say about $100 bucks how much did yours cost they say around $300 - 400 complete and I say you got robbed, how does it make you feel that my clutch last longer and works just as good as yours..........

I'm going to use a stock pressure plate with a ClutchNet 4 punk SPRUNG HUB disc, I'd stay away from UNSPRUNG HUBS, but thats just me.

I am like Charlie.. I ran the stock clutch for 3 months and had the clutch on the car for almost a year before going turbo. It holds the power to a certain extent. But to get the true power to the ground an upgrade will be necessary. Whether it be the disc or the pressure plate. I went with the entire kit. But I had bought a clutch (Clutchmasters) when I purchased everything else for the swap. So I already had invested in a clutch and after the refund I went with ACT HD P/P and street disc. Should have bought it initially.
