: Shop broken into.. :(
unlucky 12-07-2002, 05:52 AM I was just awoken by city policemen... informing me that they found the doors to my shop wide open. Appears that the neighbors next to my shop heard some suspcious noises around 4am this morning. They assumed it was me working late.. and realy didn't pay much mind. But, when they heard a vehicle taking off very fast and glanced out the window to see what the comotion was. Seeing that it wasn't me.. they called the police. My neighbor at the shop said it took them about 10 minutes to get there!! fucking cops!!! He said they just wrote down a few notes and that was it. So, he was like.. well shouldn't you guys go inform the owner? So, he told them my name and where I lived and they came tell me. They didn't seem to give a shit about it much though. I went to the shop with them to see what had happened. They didn't fool with the car that was in the shop (thank God).. but they stole about 5000.00 worth of parts that I had stored there. I don't know what the fuck I am going to do now... I live in a small town that this kind of shit usually doesn't happen in.. It's a damn shame when people have to resort to this kind of shit. Fucking crooks... For the few of you around here... The description he gave was an older chevy pickup.. around early 90's bodystyle, white with a darker pinstripe on it. He said he saw 3 people riding in the cab... couldn't tell what color they were though. Truck also had no plates..
unlucky 12-07-2002, 05:53 AM Please spread the word... They took:
Garrett Ballistics Turbos ( 57 trim and 60 trim 60 A/R, both stage III wheels... one had a 4 bolt discharge flange and was brand new, the other had a 5 bolt turbonetics flange and was a used housing. Both will have bead blasting dust in them probably)
Spearco Extruded Tube intercoolers (3 of them, they have MIG welded tanks and the top bar on them is a little bit curved up.. also have only two large mounting tabs on top.)
Greddy emanages (3 of them.. including all the add on harness')
Mufflers (2 of them.. magnaflow, 3" inlet 4" outlet..)
1 set of 50lb MSD injectors
1 set of Crower SR20 rods (used)
1 SR20DE B14 tranny (used, had some blue numbers written on the front of it)
Vivitar digital camera (doesn't work) has a few scratches next to the LCD screen
I know it's a shot in the dark to identify this stuff.. but just please spread the word to watch for anyone in the Louisiana area selling this kind of stuff.

A side note: I'm thinking a about opening a small shop here in Cali. Are you doing this full time or part time? What are some steps you did to get the shop off the ground? Thanks.

unlucky 12-09-2002, 06:24 PM I have no property insurance.. only liability.. People just don't do this kind of shit around here. It's a small town where people leave their doors unlocked and shit. I was just talking to my wife about putting a security system in the shop last week. I just didn't think that people would do this around here. I'm pretty much fucked though.. It will probably put me under. If I find out who did this.. and if you're reading this.. when I find you.. you're dead. You picked the wrong person to fuck with. And if you're in this town.. I WILL find out sooner or later.
Travis

Please no death threats on the forum. Again, its very unfortunate about your shop, but dont threaten people.
silversx 12-09-2002, 08:48 PM Come on man...he has a right to be extremely, EXTREMELY upset. If I was running a cellular phone store, and someone broke in and stole $10,000 worth of phones, my business would be fuxed! I might not really kill that special someone, but I'd certainly want to! Let the man vent!
Now you can't kill someone and actually hide it, as much as you might want to. Police are too good...right? Establish a good plan before you kill them, because if you do it on impulse, your chances of getting caught are increased tenfold!
