Hey i have a ? everone today i started my car up and was pulling out of my driveway when i here a nasty f-ing noise coming from my rear i thought it was my exhaust hitting the hump in my driveway so i though nothing of it but then when i start going down the road i see smoke from my rear driver side tire and i am shit what the hell is wrong so i get out and notice that the brakes are locked up in the rear and the ebrake handle feels like there is nothing there i mean the weight of it when you pull it up so can anyone help me with this problem i mean i did free it up i think i went back and forth a couple of times and then the car droive fine but will this problem result in me buying a new brake setup for the rear like the cailpers and everthing or what ..... thanks for the help .....

Sounds like your e-brake was stuck. But it could be your calipers sticking... it wouldn't make sense though, because once they stick, they STICK. I'd have it looked at first. But I would think that a new brake setup would have nothing to do w/ this, UNLESS its your calipers. Just my opinion though...

this happened to me on my front left brake left the car sitting for a couple of days while i got a new a arm and it was on ebrake and the caliper got stuck cost 50bucks (caliper)plus 15 to put it on..Goodluck.

DO NOT USE YOUR EBRAKE IN THE COLD WEATHER, IT HAS A TENDENCY TO LOCK UP! Just thought I'd let youe know, just stick it in gear and dont put the ebrake on.

yeah i got it to unlock it was a long process but i did it lol also if it is a new cailper then like the garage i am getting it done from wats to charge me like 500 bucks which is total bs so i am going to see what happens tom i left in gear tonight without the ebrake so we will see if not i don't plan on spending that much money i will freeze my ass off in my driveway to do it lol well thanks and if anyone has anymore suggestions please tell me .....brian
